More News!
February 29 is our Night at Atlantis!
All participating parents should have received the details for this special night. We look forward to your arrival 6:00-6:45 and are looking forward to this magical night! Thanks to Mrs. Heller for all her work in preparation and to Mrs. Hubbard for leading students in creating some unique and beautiful artwork that is up for auction!
Gratitude Shout Outs!
We are so lucky for our level of parent involvement in the Sunflowers class. Thank you to Mr. Franco for cultivating a love of reading! And to Mr. and Mrs. Larson for science experiments to better understand states of matter! And to Mrs. Kohler for introducing Euclid and a love for geometry! And to Mrs. Bergener and a love for sewing. And to Mrs. Quintana for her labor of love in making the quilt that holds the self-made portraits! And a very special Thank You to Art-Masterpiece specialist and teacher, Mrs. Sandra Larson. Among weekly contributions to the class, she is spear-heading personalized “Art to Remember” durable pieces that will be available to parents later in the year.
Parent Conferences
We will have half days March 4-6 in order to accommodate parent conferences. Pick up will be 11:15.
Thank you to the parents who have signed up for conferences next week!

Spelling Lists:
This week I gave everyone an updated Words Their Way Assessment. This allows me to uniquely fit your child’s level to the best spelling patterns. Their list should have come home this past week for a quiz on Thursday, March 5th. We had been working with the sight words, but now will return to word pattern mastery that the WTW strategy facilitates. The list of First 100 Hundred Sight Words also should have come home to encourage home support. Knowing these words builds reading fluency and confidence.

PBIS Store:
On March 4th, students will have the opportunity to visit the PBIS store and redeem their points. This is an excellent opportunity to acknowledge the good choices that are being made and to let the children know we are catching them being good.
Sharing the Love of Music:
What a blessing to have the expertise of Ms. Kerby’s musical talents and her authentic enthusiasm in sharing a love and joy in Music. Please find attached the songs your children may already be singing at home. And now, you can join in with them!
